Last Updated 6/2012

Precise Proofing LLC (“Precise”) respects your concerns about privacy. This Privacy Notice applies to personal information we collect on the Precise website (the “Site”). The Privacy Notice describes the types of personal information we collect, how we use the information, with whom we share it, and the choices you can make about our use of the information. We also describe the measures we take to protect the security of the information and how you can contact us about our privacy practices.

Information We Collect

  • In General
We may collect certain personal information when you visit our Site, such as your name and email address.
  • Information Collected By Automated Means

When you visit our Site, we may collect certain information by automated means, such as cookies and web beacons. The information we collect in this manner includes IP address, browser characteristics, device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, information on actions taken on our Site, and dates and times of website visits. A “cookie” is a text file that a website sends to a visitor’s computer or other Internet-connected device to uniquely identify the visitor’s browser or to store information or settings in the browser. A “web beacon,” also known as an Internet tag, pixel tag or clear GIF, links web pages to web servers and their cookies and may be used to transmit information collected through cookies back to a web server. Through these automated collection methods, we obtain “clickstream data,” which is a log of content on which a visitor clicks while browsing a website. As the visitor clicks through the website, a record of the action may be collected and stored. Your browser may tell you how to be notified when you receive certain types of cookies or how to restrict or disable certain types of cookies. Please note, however, that without cookies you may not be able to use all of the features of our Site.

We may use third-party website analytics services that collect information about visitor traffic on our Site, such as those of Google Analytics. The service providers that administer these services may use technologies such as cookies, web server logs and web beacons to help us analyze how visitors arrive at and interact with the Site. The information collected through these means (including IP address) is disclosed to or collected directly by these service providers. How We Use the Information We Collect

We may use the information we obtain about you to:

  • Communicate with you about our services
  • Send you news and updates
  • Feature your testimonials on the Site
  • Administer contests, promotions, surveys or other Site features
  • Process, evaluate and respond to your requests and inquiries
  • Protect against and prevent fraud, unauthorized transactions, claims and other liabilities
  • Comply with and enforce applicable legal requirements, industry standards and our policies and terms, such as our Site’s terms of use

In addition, we use information collected online through cookies, web beacons and other automated means for purposes such as customizing our visitors’ visits to our Site and the manner in which our visitors browse our Site. We also use this information to help diagnose technical and service problems, to administer our Site, to identify visitors to our Site, and to gather demographic information about our visitors. We may use clickstream data to determine how visitors navigate through our Site and how we may tailor our Site to better meet the needs of our visitors.

Note: We also may use the information we collect in other ways for which we provide specific notice at the time of collection.

Sharing of Information

We may share your personal information:

    • With service providers who perform services on our behalf (We do not authorize these service providers to use or disclose the information except as necessary to perform services on our behalf or comply with legal requirements.)

    • To law enforcement authorities or other government officials
    • When we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to prevent physical harm or financial loss
    • In connection with an investigation of suspected or actual fraudulent or illegal activity
    • With other third parties or for other purposes, with your consent

Your Rights and Choices

You may have certain rights regarding the personal information we maintain about you. We offer you certain choices about what personal information we collect from you, how we use that information, and how we communicate with you.
